Come spend an evening with Casey Trees at this park along the Potomac River!
Join Casey Trees at Palisades Spray Park to inventory trees. We will be surveying for health, size and species. Participants will receive a short, hands-on training on site. After learning the tools and techniques participants will split into groups and begin measuring trees. We will be documenting tree species, height, diameter of the trunk, width of the crown, overall health and more.
We will plan to conduct the inventory rain or shine so please wear appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes for walking short distances. Participants are welcome to bring water and a snack.
Driver Needed - Comment below if you will drive. Driver must turn in participation sheet with red bag.
Reflection Leader - Comment below if you will serve as Reflection Leader, leading the group in completion of a short survey to be turned in to Amy in the GA office or with the red bag.
Meet in ground floor lounge at 4:50pm and leave no later than 5pm.
If you must cancel your participation within 5 days of the project date, you are responsible for finding a substitute and notifying us (you may leave a comment below). If no substitute is found you will need to complete an additional service project this semester.
