The East of the River Book Festival is a magnet for city dwellers from all wards of DC to enjoy a literary event that highlights the efforts of indie writers, small publishers and independent book shops. This festival will inspire and excite those who enjoy culturally diverse books and have an interest in self-publishing.

Volunteers are needed for the following activities:

Register attendees for the panels (throughout the day)
Act as greeters and guides in the book festival (throughout the day)
Supervise and assist artists/storytellers in the Kid's Corner (throughout the day)
Use cell phones to take pics, interview people on the spot and post them to social media (throughout the day)
Break down tables and chairs for pick up (4 - 5 pm)
Sweep and clean before leaving venue (4 - 5 pm)

Please meet in ground-floor lounge no later than 1:10pm.

Driver Needed - Comment below if you will drive. Driver must turn in participation sheet with red bag.

Reflection Leader - Comment below if you will serve as Reflection Leader.

If you must cancel your participation within 5 days of the project date, you are responsible for finding a substitute and notifying us (you may leave a comment below). If no substitute is found you will need to complete an additional service project this semester.
