A bicycle can get someone someplace...like from poverty to self-sufficiency
From the website: "Bikes for the World relies on a huge network of volunteers to help impact a great number of beneficiaries worldwide. Join us in the warehouse to help prep bikes for shipping overseas. No prior bike knowledge necessary; we will show you what you need to know! Come out and get familiar with basic bike parts and tools and help others overseas while you do.
Prepping bikes for shipping involves taking the pedals off and loosening handlebars and other parts that make the bikes taller or wider. By reducing the footprint of our bikes we are able to pack more into a shipping container,therefore increasing the value of the donation."
Driver Needed - Comment below if you will drive. Driver must turn in participation sheet with red bag.
Reflection Leader - Comment below if you will serve as Reflection Leader, leading the group in completion of a short survey to be turned in to the GA office or with the red bag.
Meet in the Ground Floor Lounge at 3:30pm.
If you must cancel your participation within 5 days of the project date, you are responsible for finding a substitute and notifying us (you may leave a comment below). If no substitute is found you will need to complete an additional service project this semester.
